On June 15, Minister of Culture and Tourism Hu Heping met with Hungarian Minister of Culture and Innovation Chuck Janosz and his entourage in Beijing, and the two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening China-Hungary cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation.
Hu Heping welcomed the visit of Chuck Janos to China. He said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary, the two countries have maintained a healthy and stable momentum of development, with deepening political mutual trust and fruitful practical cooperation in various fields, and that President Xi Jinping has met with Prime Minister Orbán many times, and the two countries have had frequent high-level interactions. Since 2013, President Xi Jinping has put forward the Belt and Road Initiative, the concept of the Community of Human Destiny, and launched the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, advocating the promotion of the common values of all mankind. China is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Hungary, jointly promote the implementation of these initiatives, promote mutual learning and mutual appreciation between Chinese and Hungarian civilizations, and consolidate the friendship between the two countries for generations. It is hoped that the two sides will further expand cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation under the framework of the “Belt and Road” and the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries, give full play to the roles of cultural centers of the two countries as well as the China-CEE Tourism Coordination Center, and encourage mutual participation in each other's national tourism activities.
Chuck János said Hungary highly endorses President Xi Jinping's global development initiative, global security initiative and global civilization initiative, and the two countries share the same view of the world and human development, which fully reflects the deep traditional friendship between the two countries. Hungary and China have great potential for cultural and tourism cooperation, and Hungary is willing to work with the Chinese side to strengthen people-to-people exchanges in the fields of museums, literature, music and arts, and to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation of higher quality and more diversified.
