Recalling his pleasant meeting with Zurab in Hangzhou in February this year, Hu said that the Chinese government has resumed the outbound group travel business for Chinese citizens on a pilot basis since this year, and the number of pilot countries has now reached 60. China will, as always, support the work of the UNWTO, and is willing to continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation to promote the revitalization of the global tourism industry, and to contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to the reform and construction of the global governance system in the field of tourism. Hu also had in-depth exchanges with Zurab on the organization of the World Conference on Tourism Development, the selection of the "Best Tourist Village" and the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund project.
  Welcoming Hu Heping and his delegation, Zurab said the visit is the first time for a Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism to visit the headquarters of the UNWTO. Thanking China for the importance it attaches to strengthening cooperation with the UNWTO, he expressed his willingness to strengthen cooperation with China in organizing the World Tourism Development Conference, developing rural tourism, promoting the digitalization of tourism, and strengthening tourism education and training, believing that the joint efforts and close cooperation between the two sides will vigorously promote the recovery and development of the global tourism industry.
