On September 1, the 13th China Tourism Industry Expo opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). Chen Miner, Secretary of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, Hu Heping, Vice Minister of the Central Propaganda Department in charge of daily work, Party Secretary and Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Zhang Gong, Deputy Secretary of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Tianjin, and Wang Changsong, Chairman of Tianjin Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the opening ceremony.

Zhang Xu, President of the World Tourism Alliance, said in his speech that he believed the successful organization of this exposition could promote the continuous improvement of tourism development, enhance the attractiveness and influence of China's tourism brand, promote the iterative upgrading of China's culture and tourism industry, and deepen the integration and collaboration of Chinese and foreign culture and tourism. He Chaoqiong, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, said in her speech that she hoped everyone would make good use of the platform of the China Tourism Industry Expo to strengthen exchanges and communications, explore new cross-border cooperation mechanisms, discover new tourism development potential, and create uniquely attractive and sustainable tourism products and services.

After the opening ceremony, Chen Miner, Hu Heping, Zhang Gong, Wang Changsong and the guests visited the expo hall.

This year's expo was held in Tianjin from September 1 to 3, with the theme of "Cohesion of Industry Strength, Promotion of Tourism Development", and seven exhibition zones for tourism equipment, intelligent tourism, rural tourism, marine tourism, tourism services, tourism destinations, and intangible heritage cultural and creative industries, with an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters, attracting more than 2,000 cultural and tourism enterprises. During the exhibition, the 2023 Forum on High Quality Development of Tourism Industry, Global Travelers (Tianjin) Conference, 5G+ Smart Tourism Collaborative Innovation and Development Promotion Conference, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Culture and Tourism Industry Project Investment and Financing Matchmaking Meeting, and China Characteristic Tourism Commodity Competition will be held.
