The National Conference on the Development of Cultural and Tourism Resources was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, on July 28. Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's thought on "Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era", the conference summarized the work of cultural and tourism resource development since the 14th Five-Year Plan, promoted the implementation of the spirit of the National Conference of Directors of Culture and Tourism Departments and the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Tourism Industry, laid out the key work in the next stage, and promoted the high-level recovery and high-quality development of the tourism industry. Mr. Du Jiang, member of the Leading Party Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended and delivered a speech; Mr. Xiong Jijun, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province, attended and delivered a speech.

The conference stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse and the spirit of his instructions on culture and tourism, fully understand the importance of promoting the development of tourism to meet people's needs for a better life, as well as actively expand domestic demand, promote culture and tourism consumption, and push forward the high-quality development of the tourism industry. It is necessary to accurately grasp the practical requirements of Chinese-style modernization and promote the deep integration of culture and tourism. The culture and tourism industry must firmly grasp the concept of people-centered development, adhere to the principle of tourism for the people, and continuously improve the regulation and service quality of scenic areas and resorts in the summer so as to meet the people's tourism needs as much as possible.

The conference pointed out that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, culture and tourism administrations across the country have strengthened their top-level design and policy guidance, improved planning, policies, standards and other systems; administrations have focused on the overall situation, serving the national strategy, promoting the new achievements of key work, such as red tourism, rural tourism and the construction of national cultural parks; In response to changes in demand, the authorities have increased the supply of high-quality tourism products and further optimized the systems of sightseeing tourism, leisure and holiday tourism, and intelligent tourism; the authorities have strengthened the publicity and promotion of tourism, created a good consumption atmosphere, promoted the innovative development of resource development, and continued to move forward.

The conference urged all levels of culture and tourism administrations to improve their positioning and take initiatives, consolidate the foundation of their work, promote the implementation of major planning projects, promptly promulgate industry policies and standards, and thoroughly implement the resource survey project. The conference demanded that the administrations strengthen the quality improvement of key tourism products, optimize the open management of scenic areas, launch quality improvement measures to improve their emergency response capacity; it demanded that the administrations strengthen the depth of integrated development of culture and tourism, build and utilize national culture parks, promote the standardized development of red tourism, and stimulate the vitality of the development of cultural creative industries; It urged the authorities to strengthen the supply of high-quality tourism products, promote the upgrading and development of sightseeing tourism and leisure and vacation tourism, improve the quality and efficiency of rural tourism, and promote the integrated development of tourism with other fields; It urged the administrations to strengthen the development of intelligent tourism, speed up the implementation of the national intelligent tourism construction project, and cultivate new intelligent tourism products; it urged the administrations to strengthen the development of green tourism, improve the regulatory standards and norms of green scenic areas and resorts, and guide the supply of green tourism; it urged the administrations to strengthen tourism promotion, enhance the publicity and image promotion of new tourism concepts, and promote the market transformation of tourism resources.
