On September 18th, Ministry of Water Resources held a working session of the compiling of the “Chinese Yellow River Culture Book”, which indicated the formal start of the compiling of the book.
The “Chinese Yellow River Culture Book” had four sections, namely, “The Book of Culture of Water Conservancy on Yellow River”, “The Book of the Material Culture of the Yellow River”, “The Book of the Spiritual Culture of the Yellow River” and “The Book of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Yellow River”. “The Book of Culture of Water Conservancy on Yellow River” was established first. It’s composed of 12 volumes and 18 books, including “The Classical Book of Water Conservancy of the Yellow River”, “An General Introduction of China’s Yellow River Culture”, “The Outline of the Water Conservancy Culture of the Yellow River” and “A Content of Books on Yellow River Culture”.
Li Guoying, minister of water resources and director of the editorial committee of the “Chinese Yellow River Culture Book”, said that the book was a major cultural publication project that gave people a clear idea of the Yellow River basin and serve the water conservancy of the current era. The book was important to inherit the history, promote the civilization to tame the flood and be firm in cultural confidence. The compiling of the “Chinese Yellow River Culture Book” offered cultural support to the high-quality development and protection of the ecology of the Yellow River basin.
