On October 19th, Hu Heping, culture and tourism minister, met Abdulkadir Emin Önen, Turkey’s ambassador to China, and his colleagues. They exchanged ideas on the further deepening of culture and tourism communication and cooperation as well as on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Turkey.
Hu Heping said that in recent years, a series of consensuses had been reached through meetings of heads of China and Turkey to lead China-Turkey strategic cooperation. The deepened cultural and tourism communication and cooperation between the two countries had already been an active part of the relationship. With opportunities of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship, we could link the “Belt and Road” initiative and “Middle Corridor” plan to conduct deeper-level cooperation between cultural and tourism institutes so as to improve China-Turkey tie to the next stage.
Ambassador Abdulkadir Emin Önen expressed his gratitude to minister Hu Heping’s care and attention to China-Turkey cultural and tourism cooperation and spoke highly of China’s fruit in the fight against the Covid-19. He also said that the year 2020 was significant for it marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the our diplomatic relationship and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The two countries would jointly organized a series of celebration, with which China-Turkey strategic cooperation could develop faster and better.
China and Turkey also reached consensuses of the establishment of culture centers in each others’ countries and the increase of tourists traveling between our countries.
