On October 20th, the 5th Tourism Minister Conference Between China, Russia and Mongolia was held through video. Attendees were Zhang Xu, China’s vice culture and tourism minister, director-general of Russian Federation Tourism and Minister of Natural Environment and Tourism of Mongolia. The three parties shared cooperative results in tourism and exchanged ideas on the controlling of the pandemic impact, the shaping of the international tourism brand named “tea road” and the cooperative development of the tourism between China, Russia and Mongolia.
Zhang Xu said that China, Russia and Mongolia were each others’ important destinations and sources of customers. The tourism cooperation between these three countries entered a stage of upgrade, quality improvement and cooperation deepening. China was willing to work hand in hand with Russia and Mongolia to follow principles of equality, mutual benefit, inclusiveness, mutual learning, and win-win cooperation, so as to promote the high-quality development of the tourism cooperation. He suggested that we needed to enhance information exchange and policy coordination; find new opportunities; improve the population and reputation of the international tourism brand named “tea road”; push forward the diverse innovation of a new business called “tourism+” and improve the convenience and quality of the tourism.
Director-general of Russian Federation Tourism and Minister of Natural Environment and Tourism of Mongolia agreed with China’s suggestions to deepen tourism cooperation and said that the three countries are important partners in tourism with great potential to work together. They were willing to support each other to cope with the pandemic; to build the “tea road” cross-border tourism route; to have higher-level tourism communication between the three countries and to enable people of these three countries to enjoy the fruit of our tourism cooperation.
