The Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World Attended the 15th China Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair

    On November 8th, the 15th China Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair was held in Yiwu City. It’s co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Zhejiang Province People’s Government. Those attended the opening ceremony and participated the tour around the exhibition hall were Wang Xiaofeng, member of leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Zhu Guoxian, publicity minister and member of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, and heads of the Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World.

    According to the introduction, this expo had been the first one to integrate culture and tourism to a deep level since the establishment of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The theme was “integration of culture and tourism, an era of innovation and good life”. there were 2300 standard exhibition booth rented by 641 enterprises and institutions from 17 provinces (districts and cities). Five exhibition halls were set, including theme hall of cultural and tourism exhibition, beautiful China hall, craftsmanship inheritance hall, the hall of poems and paintings in Zhejiang Province and e-sports and animation hall, all of which covered aspects like the design and service of cultural and creative product, products relating to intangible cultural heritage, tourism equipment, tourism routes, smart cultural and tourism products and others.

    In the theme hall of cultural and tourism exhibition was the exhibition area called “Four Seasons of Heart·Beautiful China” where showed visitors mobile tourism house, 2020 “China’s routes” which were ten outstanding routes for national self-driving tours, tourism goods produced in the autumn of Xinjiang, goods sold along the ice and snow tourism routes and so on. “Intangible cultural heritage+tourism” exhibition area prioritized the presentation of the integrated development of tourism and intangible cultural heritages as well as achievements of poverty alleviation with the help of intangible cultural heritages. Twelve national tourism routes with the theme of intangible cultural heritage were being promoted. Visitors could also enjoy a products presentation and a show of techniques by inheritors of national-level intangible cultural heritage products.

    The expo had both online parts and offline parts. In the former, there were functions including information publishing, booking negotiation, online trading and so on. The expo lasted until November 10th. A series of events would be held one after another, including China Tourism Product Competition, tourism promotion and development conference named “Ancient Qiuci Along the Silk Road·Amazing Aksu”, 2020 World Tourism Alliance·Yiwu Dialogue, the innovative design competition of city IP tourism products named “Amazing Gift for Yiwu”.

    During the expo, Wang Xiaofeng and Zhu Guoxian jointly started an online promotion for national winter tourism called “Four Seasons of Heart·Beautiful China” which would further stimulate the market for winter culture and tourism.
