On December 3rd of the 2020, at the invitation of Albania Embassy in China, Qin Gang, Chinese vice foreign minister, attended the National Day reception hold by the Albania Embassy in China to mark the 108th anniversary of the day when the nation declared independence.
In his speech, Qin Gang expressed his congratulations to Albania and said that the friendship between China and Albania dated back a long time ago. Albania was one of the earliest to establish diplomatic relationship with China and contributed a lot to China’s entry to the UN. In recent years, two countries were carrying out mutual-beneficial cooperation with opportunities provided by the “Belt and Road” initiative and the cooperation between China and countries in middle and eastern parts of Europe. Two nations helped each others when we faced natural disasters and the Covid-19. Equality and mutual trust were basic principles to guarantee a healthy, stable and progressing relationship, which must be followed no matter how would the situation change in the international society. Only in this way could we enhance mutual trust and promoted traditional friendship. Our governments should forge ahead to carry out the “Belt and Road” initiative；promote practical cooperation; safeguard multilateralism; protect international fairness and justice and legal rights of developing countries, so as to construct a community for mankind with a common future.
