The Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World Attended the 6th Maritime Silk (Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival

    On November 27th, with the theme of “jointly construct maritime silk road and promote cultural and tourism prosperity”, the 6th Maritime Silk (Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival was held in Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. Speeches were given by Zhang Xu, vice cultural and tourism minister, Zheng Jianmin, vice governor of Fujian Province, and You Mengjun, mayor of Fuzhou City. Other attendees were Lin Baojin, secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and member of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and heads of Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World.

    Zhang Xu said that after five years of development, the Maritime Silk International Tourism Festival had been constantly improving it’s influence, making it an important platform for tourism cooperation and communication between countries and regions along the maritime silk road. We hoped that through this festival, there would be more outstanding cases of countries and regions along the road working hand in hand so as to have more achievements of cultural, tourism, trade and economic cooperation as well as to create more driving forces for the recovery and rejuvenation of future global tourism. Just like before, the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism would always support Fujian Province to promote the integrated development of culture and tourism in Fujian Province and the construction of the core area of the maritime silk road of the 21st century.

    Zheng Jianmin said that the mission of the Maritime Silk International Tourism Festival was to present the latest development results of Fujian’s tourism relating to maritime silk road, the high-level communication and cooperation platform and a shared opportunities for tourism development. With chances offered by this Maritime Silk International Tourism Festival, the province would promote tourism cooperation with regions and countries along the maritime silk road and build a bridge of people-to-people communication.

    This Maritime Silk International Tourism Festival was hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Fujian Province People’s Government. It’s also co-hosted by Cultural and Tourism Department of Fujian Province and Fuzhou City People’s Government. Activities were held online and offline, including four major events like Summit Forum for Cultural and Tourism Economy and Fujian Tourism Expo, as well as , the 11th Hot-Spring International Tourism Festival, Fuzhou Cultural and Tourism Product for Domestic Travel Purchase Meeting, Maritime Silk Road Promotion Alliance Annual Meeting and other supporting activities. This festival would establish a series of measures for domestic circulation to help the tourism recovery to build platforms for the presentation, trade and communication for tourism products relating to maritime silk road.
