Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World Attended 2020 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition

    On December 8th, 2020 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition was hold in Guilin International Exhibition and Conference Center, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Attending the opening ceremony and participating the tour around the exhibition were Zhang Xu, vice minister of culture and tourism, Fan Xiaoli, minister of Publicity Department and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Zhao Leqin, secretary of Guilin Municipal Party Committee and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Congress, li Bin, vice chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Cultural Exchange Organization of Presenting China to the World, officials from 10 countries and embassies of ASEAN.

    2020 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition had been held 6 times since 2015. Now, it’s an international tourism exhibition with most influence in China and ASEAN. Tourism exhibition held this year was in China-ASEAN digital economic cooperation year and at the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN free trade zone. The theme was “jointly construct ‘belt and road’ and share digital tourism”. The exhibition was also integrated into the construction of the “belt and road” and served the construction of the China-ASEAN community of shared future. The goal was to promote tourism exhibition, communication and cooperation between China and ASEAN in terms of e-commerce tourism, technological tourism, 5G online tourism and smart urban tourism.

    The exhibition lasted for 3 days. In the 25-thousand-squaremeter exhibition hall, many theme areas were presented, including “belt and road”, outbound tourism, domestic tourism, international tourism products and so on, all of which were from more than 120 exhibitors from 21 provinces (regions and citirs), 20 foreign official tourism institutions and 52 countries and regions. More than 300 buyers came to the exhibition. The number of visitors was expected to reach 100 thousand.

    During the tourism exhibition also hold China-ASEAN Forum on Digital Cultural Tourism Collaboration, matching negotiation between sellers and buyers, tourism resource inspection by professional buyers, tourism promotion conference of the guest country (Philippines) and theme countries (Yunnan Province) and other events. A strategic cooperation frame agreement would be signed by cultural and tourism departments from Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, both of which would discuss plans for future development to develop cultural tourism and contribute to the recovery of domestic and international tourism market.

    This year’s tourism was hold with two platforms, “offline physical exhibition+cloud tourism exhibition”. They were used to present recent development of domestic and foreign culture, tourism and digital tourism. “Cloud tourism exhibition” offed three-dimensional experience to guests who couldn’t attend the forum by creating a presenting platform with paranoma roaming and technologies including 5G, VR and big data. There’s also a broadcasting room for the live streaming of important events in three days for 30 hours without stopping. An broadcasting interview room was set to interpret the development of tourism and it’s exhibitions from multiple angles by interviewing visiting businessmen and guests.
