    On March 23rd, Hu Heping, minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, meets Zhang Xiacheng, South Korea ambassador to China. They communicate about the deepening exchange and cooperation of culture and tourism in two countries.

    Hu Heping says that China and South Korea are important partners and neighbourhood countries. Since the start of the COVID-19, Xi Jinping and Moon Jae-in have been communicating closely, which has pointed a direction for the relationship between our two countries. The communication of cultures and tourism is an important component for our relation, playing a significant role for deepening understanding and the consolidation of our relationship. The year 2021 and 2022 are China-South Korea Cultural Exchange Year decided by heads of two countries. China is willing to work with South Korea to deepen practical cooperation and carry forward the communication of culture and tourism towards a higher level according to a series of important consensus reached by heads of two countries.

    Zhang Xiacheng says the South Korea attaches great importance to our relationship and communication about culture and tourism is important for mutual trust and people’s feeling towards each other. South Korea is willing to lunch activities of “China-South Korea Cultural Communication Year” and the city communication of “Culture City of East Asia”. It also supports China to hold 2022 Winter Olympic Games. The year 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and South Korea. South Korea will enhance the communication between the two countries and organize a series of effective cultural and tourism communication and cooperation to push forward the relationship between China and South Korea.
