Recently, Minister Luo Shugang met with Yondonperenlei Baatarbileg, Mongolian minister of Education, Culture and Science and Sports, as well as his delegation. Both sides had in-depth discussion on further enhancing cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Mongolia.
Luo Shugang said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia. The Mongolian delegation is welcomed to hold Mongolia Cultural Week event in China. Meanwhile, the Chinese side attaches great importance to Minister Baatarbileg’s visit, and hopes to deepen cultural exchanges and cooperation of two countries through the visit. In April, Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga came to China to attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, during which he and President Xi Jinping witnessed the signing of the Action Plan on China-Mongolia Cultural Cooperation and Exchanges (2019-2021). It is hoped that both sides could speed up the implementation of the plan and build normal mechanism for communication to provide platform for official and civil institutions of two sides to exchange with each other.
Minister Baatarbileg appreciated the Chinese side for its attention and support during the event. The Mongolian side is willing to work jointly with China to establish institutional relations, build platform for cultural institutions of two countries to conduct in-depth cooperation, regularly sort out and evaluate the outcomes of cultural exchanges and cooperation. It is also expected to further enlarge the scale of mutual visits and improve the level of cultural exchanges to write a new chapter for practical cooperation in culture.
