Minister Luo Shugang meets with Cuban Minister of Tourism Marrero

On November 7th, Luo Shugang, minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero of Cuba in Beijing. 
Luo Shugang spoke positively of China-Cuba tourism relations. He noted that the two socialist countries are good friends, good partners and good brothers. It is an irresistible trend for the development of friendly ties to deepen bilateral cultural and tourism cooperation. Moreover, the two countries are highly complementary to each other regarding tourism resources with a promising future in bilateral cooperation. We are willing to enhance exchanges between the two governmental departments, and advance the down-to-earth cooperation between tourism institutes and enterprises. It is expected to encourage mutual visits of tourists so as to achieve mutual benefits and meet the needs of the two peoples for a better life. 
Marrero appreciated Luo Shugang’s attention to China-Cuba tourism cooperation, and briefly introduced the policies and condition of Cuban tourism development. He expressed that the Chinese market is of great significance to Cuban tourism. Therefore, Cuba is willing to further promote tourism in China, and proactively work with Chinese tourism institutes to offer Chinese tourists a favorable and convenient tourism environment. 
Both sides has reached extensive consensus on pushing forward official exchanges, enhancing tourism promotion and signing agreement on cooperation.
