On September 10th, Luo Shugang, Chinese minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Aktoty Raimkulova, Kazakh minister of Culture and Sports in Beijing. They had extensive exchanges on further developing China-Kazakhstan cooperation in culture and tourism.
Luo noted that China and Kazakhstan have seen increasingly deepening development in comprehensive strategic partnership, and nurtured strong strategic mutual trust with the support and care from previous leaders of two sides. Since the implementation of “Belt and Road” initiative, two countries have become closer while the mutually beneficial cooperation is being strengthened. Currently, they are at a stage of rapid development in terms of cultural and tourism as Qin Shihuang Terracotta Warriors exhibition has been brought to public during the Astana World Expo; the film Musician shot by the capitals of two sides was released in both countries and the exchanges of cultural and art institutions are increasingly frequent with many highlights. China is willing to join hands with Kazakhstan to make new progress in cultural and tourism cooperation.
Raimkulova said that the ties between China and Kazakhstan have set an example of good-neighborliness and mutual benefit. Kazakhstan values the comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and respects Chinese long history and splendid culture. Therefore, it is hoped to benefit two peoples by enhancing exchanges and cooperation in cultural and people-to-people area under the framework of “Belt and Road” Initiative.
Both sides exchanged views on further conducting exchanges in music and art, strengthening cooperation in archaeology and artifacts protection, expanding the scale of two-way tourism visits, broadcasting the story of “Xian Xinghai and Kazakhstan”, as well as holding the paralleled meeting of China-Kazakhstan cultural and people-to-people cooperation.
