Vice Minister Zhang Xu meets with Mozambican Minister of Culture and Tourism Silva Dunduro

On August 19th, Zhang Xu, Chinese vice minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Silva Dunduro, Mozambican minister of Culture and Tourism, in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on enhancing exchanges and cooperation in culture and tourism. 

Zhang Xu noted that China and Mozambique share a long tradition of friendship. Recent years have witnessed rapid development in ties as the relations between two sides have been developed into .the comprehensive strategic partnership in 2016. Besides, the fruitful meetings of President Xi and President Nyusi during the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in last September and this year’s Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation have drawn a blueprint for future cooperation in various fields. The Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism will implement important consensus reached by two leaders under the guidance of summit spirit and the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation-Beijing Action Plan of 2019-2021 so as to break new ground in enhancing China-Mozambique cultural relations and tourism cooperation.
Dunduro extended great thanks to the efforts made by China in advancing cultural relations and tourism cooperation. He stressed that Mozambique is willing to further reinforce exchanges and cooperation with China so as to contribute to enhancing mutual trust and cooperation.
