On July 1st, the exhibition and symposium themed “Development and Promotion of Cultural Industry and Tourism”, co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, kicked off in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It showcases new achievements of Chinese cultural and creative industry in 4 sections including historical culture, natural culture, ethnic culture, and urban culture.
On the opening day, the experts engaged in following topics: how to improve culture and tourism products through the integrated development of culture and tourism; how do museums develop and promote tourism; how to fully utilize cultural heritage through tourism.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Li Qun addressed the opening ceremony: “China and Vietnam are culturally and historically connected neighbors. In recent years, China and Vietnam have deepened cooperation in culture and tourism by carrying out comprehensive communication and cooperation in cultural industry, art education, cultural heritage, and tourism, contributing to injecting new vigor to the comprehensive strategic partnership between two sides.”
“The traditional friendship between Vietnam and China has been growing stronger. It is worthwhile to learn China’s experience as this exhibition reflects its creative integration of traditional culture with modern tourism,” said Trinh Thi Thuy, deputy minister of culture, sports and tourism of Vietnam.
