On June 27th, the five-day “Beautiful China-Inner Mongolia Tourism and Culture Week” event was inaugurated in the Exhibition Hall of National Museum of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam. More than 200 Chinese and Tanzanian representatives attended the opening ceremony.
During the opening ceremony, the guests enjoyed the performance of Horqin Ulan Muqir Troupe of Inner Mongolia, intangible heritage presentation of handcraft, cultural and creative product exhibition, and prairie photo exhibition.
Nicholas William, deputy secretary of the Ministry of News, Culture, Art, and Sport of Tanzania, said he was deeply impressed by the performances and exhibitions during the opening ceremony. And he is confident that this event will make great contribution to the cultural exchanges between China and Tanzania.
Li Xiaoqiu, deputy director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Inner Mongolia, said the “Inner Mongolia Tourism and Culture Week” will enable Tanzanian people to know more of the Chinese and Inner Mongolian culture, and break new ground for two sides to conduct exchanges in various fields.
“China Tourism and Culture Week 2019”, deployed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the PRC, aims to broadcast the integrated development of Chinese culture and tourism, and advocate the concept of “beautiful China shared by the world”. From May to June, a series of such promotions were hosted by multiple Chinese culture and tourism organizations in foreign countries.
