On November 30th, the Fourth “Maritime Silk Road” (Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival kicked off in Fuzhpu as its activities will endure until December 31st. Attending the opening ceremony are Wang Xiaofeng, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Wang Ning, deputy secretary of Fujian Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Committee, Yang Xianjin , vice governor of Fuzhou, Zhang Jianxing, president of the newspaper group, Branko Perovic, Montenegrin ambassador to China, Li Miaoguang, Mauritian ambassador to China as well as friends of tourism area along with “Maritime Belt and Road” countries and regions including Malaysia and New Zeland.
Wang Xiaofeng said, it is a proactive action for implementing “Belt and Road” initiative, and a innovative move for deepening international tourism cooperation to host the Fourth “Maritime Silk Road”|(Fuzhou) International Tourism Festival. Tourism industry, as the leading industry in regional cooperation, has been given priority in “Belt and Road” construction. With its transition from initiative to real actions, we are looking forward to pursuing tourism cooperation with a larger scale, wider area and higher level. Meanwhile, we are expected to promote policy coordination, unimpeded trade and closer people-to-people ties so as to witness its fruitful outcomes of win-win cooperation and mutual benefits.
“During his 15-year working experience in Fujian province, Xi had drawn a new grand blueprint for Fujian featuring flexible mechanism, quality industry, affluent people and beautiful environment.” said Yang Xianjin. He added that the central government has granted a raft of preferential policies and measures to Fujian, and demonstrated the Fujian’s substantial role in overall national development in recent years. Fujian has increasingly become a fortune land that is full of vitality and charisma , and suitable for living and working.
Zhang Jianxing said that China Newspaper Association will deeply advance the integrated development of traditional media and new media, and accelerate the construction of new mainstream media with various forms, cutting-edge methods, great communication power and competitiveness. We should cement the position of mainstream media and give full play to its unique resources and advantages so as to contribute to china’s tourism promotion and communication .
During the opening ceremony, the Fuzhou Declaration on Strengthening Tourism Communication Cooperation was jointly released by China Newspaper Association and Institute of Journalism & Communication Research of Chinese Academy of Social Science.
