Luo Shugang met with Mirko Sarovic, deputy prime minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina and minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations

On December 18th, Luo Shugang, minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, met with Mirko Sarovic, deputy prime minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina and minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations. They exchanged views on cultural and tourism cooperation as well as future development.

Luo Shugang welcomed their visit and extended great gratitude to his efforts to hold the Third High-level Conference of Tourism Cooperation of China and Central and Eastern European Countries in 2017. “Ever since two sides established the diplomatic relations in 1995, our relations have witnessed steady and prudent development and the cooperation in culture and tourism has been strengthened. In terms of culture, art festivals, such as “Sarajevo Winter Festival”, attracted Chinese people’s involvement and China’s Spring Festival has also gained public appeal in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With regard to tourism, Bosnia and Herzegovina is rich in historical and cultural resources and beautiful landscapes, of which the capital city Sarajevo is famous for the former Yugoslavian Movie Walter Defends Sarajevo. There is large room for two countries to cooperate in tourism.” said Luo Shugang. He added that we will continue to deepen tourism collaboration and increase mutual visits so as to boost ties between two peoples and develop comprehensive partnership between two countries..
Sarovic spoke highly of the efforts and contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in promoting cultural and tourism cooperation between two countries. He stressed that China has all along been our good friend and more Chinese tourists are welcome to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina. Meanwhile, measures including posting Chinese signs and nurturing Chinese guides will be taken to serve Chinese tourists well. We are willing to conduct tourism exchanges so as to advance deep development of relations between two countries.
After the meeting, they signed memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and the Foreign Trade and Economic Relations.of Bosnia and Herzegovina on tourism plan for China’s travel groups to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
