On December 19th, 2019 New Year Reception took place in National Museum of China. Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended this reception held by the State Council Information Office.
Huang Kunming talked with the guests and extended great gratitude to their contribution in telling Chinese stories well and promoting exchanges between China and foreign countries. He said that next year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and there have been huge changes in China because of Chinese people’s relentless entrepreneurship and diligence.. Journalists from overseas were encouraged to travel more around China and obtain more knowledge about China's development so as to present a true and multidimensional China to the world,
Xu Lin, minister of the State Council Information Office, said that in the coming year, the office will take a more open stance and work more actively to intensify exchanges and communication with various circles, and provide quality, efficient and professional service.
The reception was attended by more than 400 people, including media members from China and overseas, ministry spokespersons, foreign envoys to China and representatives of international organizations.
