A promotion event themed as “A Stunning Guizhou is Going Global” took place at Borges Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentina. Nearly 300 people including Ning Yi, wife of Chinese ambassador to Argentina, Argentine officials of culture and tourism and members of media were present. After the opening ceremony, the exhibition of promotion will be open to the public.
Mu Deggui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and head of the Guizhou provincial publicity department, has introduced Guizhou’s rapid development in recent years. Guizhou is rich in natural resources and cultural landscapes, and welcomes all guests with an open mind. Though a long distance between Guizhou (located at the west of China) and Argentina, two sides never cease to conduct exchanges regardless of the separation of the gigantic Pacific Ocean. In 2017, Guizhou established a friendly relationship with Jujuy province, Argentina, with an increasing activities in economy and trade. The trade volume between Argentina and Guizhou hit 67.19 million dollars in 2018 as they complete with each other in economy. Guizhou will further seek for tourism and trade cooperation through sharing resources and pursuing a bilateral cooperation of mutual benefit.
Greensguapan, head of San Juan Cultural and Tourism Department, expressed that the stunning cultures of Guizhou and San Juan will be presented based on mutual understanding. García, head of Culture and Tourism Department of Chubut province, said there are many landform features shared by Patagonia region and Guizhou. Chubut province is comprised of 25% natural and ecological land. It is hoped to discuss the future cooperation with Guizhou on protecting resources and developing tourism resources.
During the promotion, the dazzling natural and tourism resources and cultural landscapes in Guizhou aroused the interests of local residents who came to the intangible cultural heritage stands and reveled in embroideries of Dong ethnic, batik, silver ornaments, as well as tea ceremony. Besides, an Argentine musician performed Chinese song Jasmine Flower and famous Argentine music Happy Tango with a Zheng’an guitar. During the promotion, an agreement on tourism cooperation was singed by tourism departments of two sides.
