The 2019 China Tourism and Cultural Week, jointly held by the China Tourism Office to New York and Huangshan People’s Government, took place at the World Trade Center Station in New York. A charming Huangshan was seen through colourful culture and tourism exhibitions and interacted programs.
At the scene, the organizer introduced natural landscapes and customs within Huangshan, and presented traditional Chinese tea ceremony, Hui opera and unique paper-tearing calligraphy so that hundreds of citizens were attracted to take pictures.
“Huangshan, as world natural and cultural heritage, was listed as World Biosphere Reserve last year. In 2018, Huangshan City received 2.62 million overseas tourists, in which American tourists hit more than 150 thousand.” said Mayor Kong Xiaohong of Huangshan City, hoping to attract more foreign tourists through the beautiful image of “dazzling Huangshan and ritual Huizhou” in this event.
Huangshan served as a name card for China to go global. It is believed that more people will fall in love with Huangshan and walk into China through this event.
