The 27th Milan International Handicrafts Fair recently came to an end at the Milan International Exhibition Center in Italy. As one of the largest exhibitions of its kind in the world, this year's fair, with the theme of "Beauty of the Creators", attracted 2,550 enterprises and organizations from 86 countries and regions to take part in the four major segments of tourism promotion, cultural promotion, handicrafts exhibition and sales, and gourmet tasting.

At the exhibition, the China Pavilion, in which more than 20 Chinese enterprises and organizations participated, attracted a lot more attention. Among them, the theme zone of "Colorful China, Things for Holidays" supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China focused on displaying rich and colorful Chinese cultural products, and the intangible cultural heritage projects were also one of the key contents of the display. In the booth of "Chinese Colored Pottery-Yellow River Culture", dozens of silk banners printed with photographs of the Yellow River waterfalls hang above the exhibition area, and the audience walks through them as if they were chopping waves in the twisting Yellow River.Below the banners, the simple and dynamic Yellow River pottery with unique decorations showed the vitality of 5000 years of Chinese civilization. The "Elegant Hangzhou - Charming Liangzhu" booth showcases the landscape of the Jiangnan water town, with the handmade bamboo fans inspired by Liangzhu's jade bird totems.

On the other side of the booth of cultural and creative products and gifts, hanging kites and lanterns, and traditional handicrafts such as ceramics, silk weaving, tie-dye and so on lying on the table all conveyed the great charm of Chinese culture. Alessandra, an Italian visitor to the exhibition, loved so much of the bookmarks designed by the National Palace Museum and the National Museum. She said the bookmarks painted with works such as Along the River During the Qingming Festival and A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains have beautiful shapes and distinctive features, and she is ready to give the bookmarks as holiday gifts to her children who are learning Chinese. She also told reporters that she and her family were very happy after the news of China's visa-free entry policy for ordinary passport holders from six countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia. "I am looking forward to traveling to China with my children next year to experience Chinese culture in depth."

In the activity with the theme of "Chinese Character Civilization and Tao of Taiji" , Chinese staff introduced Chinese traditional topography culture to the audience. Chinese calligraphers wrote Spring Festival couplets and lucky charms on the spot, which surprised and intrigued the audience. Special programs such as Taiji performance, Chinese style dance and folk instrument performance were also welcomed by the audience.

Marco Bertona, Chairman of the Italian Tea and Herbal Tea Association(ITA.Tea), visited the Chinese exhibition area and praised China's rich cultural traditions and modern creativity: "I have always been interested in China's traditional culture and intangible cultural heritage arts and crafts, and today I can appreciate so much exquisite porcelain, silk and cultural and creative products, and buy intangible heritage handicrafts that I have only seen in videos before, so it's really a worthwhile trip! It's a wonderful trip!"

According to the introduction of the organizer, the average daily traffic of the Chinese Pavilion during the event exceeded 30,000, attracting visitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including Italy, France and Spain. Zhang Lingxiao, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, said that the establishment of the Chinese Pavilion set up an important platform for enhancing people's mutual understanding and friendship, and promoting exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises.
