On December 13th, 2021, “China-Oman Youth Digital Cultural Industrial Communication Week”. It’s organized by Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Oman Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. Those attended the opening ceremony online or offline and delivered speeches were Zhang Xu, Chinese vice culture and tourism minister, the Oman minister of culture, sports and youth, Li Lingbing, Chinese ambassador to Oman, and Nasser Al Busaidi, Oman’s ambassador to China.
Zhang Xu said in his speech that young people are the future of the world. They belong to the group with most passion and era-leading ability. China’s and Oman’s cultural departments cooperated to hold an exchange event between youth digital cultural industries. The most attractive and vivid digital and cultural industries received organizers’ attention, including animation, game, digital music, emerging experience and e-sports. The mission was “communication and promotion”. The aim was to push forward young people form both countries to engage in topics and forms they liked, then to experience the interconnection of culture of two countries and to share the experience of each other’s cases of setting up digital cultural enterprises, so as to let young people to be the main force in digital cultural industries.
Oman’s minister said in his speech that the communication week indicated the continual development of the relationship between the two countries. He wished that young people from both countries could put forward initiative to launch cultural cooperation, so as to use digital cultural industries to support culture, art, economy, sports and news industries, thus promote the progress of the two civilizations.
China-Oman Youth Digital Cultural Industrial Communication Week included China-Oman Digital Cultural Industry Youth Leader Forum, Tencent Music “China-Oman Echo Music Hall” Special Zone, “China-Oman Youth E-sport Friendship Champion (PUBG MOBILE)” and “China-Oman Digital Art Exhibition”, all of which created more potential for digital cultural industrial cooperation for young people in two countries. Attendees included heads of cultural departments and industrial association from China and Oman, including representative from Chinese enterprises including Poly Culture, Fangte International, Watershow, Tencent Music and so on, as well as those from Oman enterprises. All of those participated in the Digital Cultural Industrial Youth Leader Forum.
