Wuxi , or Xi in short, is known as the "Bright Pearl of Taihu Lake". Located in southern Jiangsu Province in the Yangtze River Delta, it is dubbed “Little Shanghai” because of its highly developed economy. Two county-level cities under its jurisdiction, namely Jiangyin and Yixing, are among the top 100 county-level cities in China in terms of economic strength, including Huaxi Village in Jiangyin, known as the Unparalleled Village under Heaven. In the listings of China’s Relatively Affluent Regions, Wuxi is ranked the 5th.
