On December 19, Hu Heping, Minister of Culture and Tourism, and Ye Jianchun, Governor of Jiangxi Province, met with the ambassadors and representatives of Arab countries attending the Fifth Arab Arts Festival in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province.
Hu Heping expressed his gratitude to the envoys and representatives for their efforts in the successful organization of the festival and the promotion of Sino-Arab cultural exchanges and cooperation. He pointed out that the Sino-Arab friendship has a long history and is everlasting, and the two sides have written a historical chapter of friendly exchanges on the ancient Silk Road. Ye Jianchun expressed a warm welcome to the visiting guests, and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Jiangxi, especially the deepening of exchanges and cooperation with Arab countries. He said that in recent years, Jiangxi has used the construction of inland open economy pilot zone as a carrier, actively integrated into the construction of "Belt and Road", and deepened exchanges and cooperation with Arab countries, effectively promoting and expanding the friendly exchanges between the people of Jiangxi and the Arab people. Jiangxi will further expand practical cooperation in various fields with Arab countries to realize common prosperity and development.
As the head of the Arab envoys to China attending the Arab Arts Festival, Jordanian Ambassador in China Husam Husseini said that the Arab Arts Festival has set up an important platform for artistic exchanges between Arab and Chinese artists, and that the Arab side appreciates the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China in bringing more Arab artists to different provinces and regions of China to share the unique culture of Arab flavor.
