On the evening of September 21, the 7th China Poetry Festival, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, China Writers' Association, and the People's Government of Henan Province, officially opened at the Grand Theater of Henan Art Center.
Zhang Min, vice governor of Henan Provincial People's Government, Shi Zhanjun, member of the Party Group and Secretary of the Office of the Chinese Writers' Association, and He Xiong, mayor of Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, attended the event and delivered speeches. Ming Wenjun, Director of the Department of Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, presided over the opening ceremony.
A cultural performance was held on the opening night. The main participants of this show are based on local arts and cultural troupes and colleges in Henan Province, and from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism directly under the art troupes to transfer the outstanding actors and actresses from Beijing, Zhengzhou and other places of the arts and cultural workers to work together to create a masterpiece, and carefully crafted more than 10 content-rich, novel and unique form of outstanding programs.
The cultural performance of the opening ceremony consists of four chapters: Poetry Source, Poetry Memory, Poetry Vein and Poetry Ode, and highly integrates recitation, dance, martial arts, opera, song and dance, and other art forms, which are brilliantly presented. The "Poetry Source" pays tribute to the Chinese classics, and the Poetry State Ceremony reflects the long history of Chinese culture and its transmission from generation to generation. "Poetry Memory" illuminates the spirit of the Yellow River, the music performance Big River - Dedicated to the Yellow River eulogizes the mother river with a pure heart; the Yu opera Du Fu - Son of the Big River demonstrates the saint of poetry's mission to take on the world as his own; the Chinese Kung Fu Realm of Transformation carries on the spirit of the Chinese martial arts, highlighting the patriotic sentiment. Poetry Pulse shows the charm of Chinese culture. A Thousand Years of Family and Country Sentiment recites famous ancient poems and builds up a group portrait of patriotic poets in ancient China; Luoshen - Hibiscus Pond interprets the legend of Luoshen and shows the thick culture of the Central Plains; Counting Stars tells about famous poets behind the family name in the form of Henan Opera; Golden Autumn: Love Lyric integrates the eternal theme of poetry into the context; Wish Human Lasts Long combines popular and ancient styles. The Ode to Poetry depicts a picture of the world in full bloom, and To the Motherland looks back on the road of new poems since the May 4th; Ode to Wind and Elegance conveys poetic meaning with songs, inherits historical veins, and displays contemporary splendor; and at the end of the performance, the whole audience sang March of the New Era, which echoed the new voice of the times and invigorated the spirit of the nation.
During the Poetry Festival, poetry theme seminars, poetry preparing and creation, mass poetry activities, poetry theme plays and exhibitions, poetry theme boutique tourism routes release will be held. During the same period, Henan will also carry out the Chinese Classic Poetry Forum and other poetry activities in the province.
This year's Chinese Poetry Festival will hold its closing ceremony and cultural performances on September 27th at the "Only Henan - Theatre Fantasy City" theme park in Zhengzhou City.
