To promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry and leverage the role of tourism for the people and the driving force of tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Xinhua News Agency, and the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will jointly host the 2023 China (Arxan) Tourism Conference on September 2nd to 3rd in Arxan City, Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Wu Kefeng, Deputy Director of the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stated at a press conference on the 21st that Arxan City in Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a targeted area for assistance from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and an emerging hotspot tourist destination in China. The China (Arxan) Tourism Conference is a national-level platform launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism after the end of summer this year. It is not only an important measure for the ministry to implement the rural revitalization strategy but also a significant means to unlock the potential of tourism consumption and meet the needs of people's better lives.

Wu Kefeng introduced that the 2023 China (Arxan) Tourism Conference will feature nine events, including:

1. The conference opening ceremony: Held on the morning of September 2nd, leaders from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Xinhua News Agency, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and others will jointly attend the conference. During the event, the ceremony for granting national-level tourism brands and the promotion of Arxan tourism will take place.

2. The "Thousand Vehicles, Ten Thousand People" Cross-Daxing'anling Self-Drive Tour: Organized by the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Cultural and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the event will kick off with a departure ceremony on September 2nd and release ten premium "Road of China" 2023 self-drive routes.

3. The "Xikou County Art Event": Organized by the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Cultural and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the event will take place in the Xikou County of Mingshuihe Town, Arxan City. Themed "Our Villagers are Artists," the "Village Art Event" will showcase features such as village residents' home courtyards (art galleries), joint artistic spaces built by villagers and artists, and unique rural markets, presenting a new form of shared rural tourism.

4. The "Cultural Tourism Integration and Green Development Forum": Organized by the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the China Tourism Academy, and the Cultural and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the forum will delve into the directions and paths for the deep integration of culture and tourism development, as well as green tourism development, providing suggestions for promoting high-quality tourism industry development.

5. The "Intangible Cultural Heritage + Tourism" Project Experience Exhibition: Organized by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Cultural and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the exhibition will feature the fusion of intangible cultural heritage and tourism, the current state of Chinese intangible cultural heritage and its development, interactive experiences of intangible cultural heritage skills, and the promotion of intangible cultural heritage tourism.

6. The "Arxan in the Past Decade" Exhibition: Hosted by the Hinggan League Administrative Office and the People's Government of Arxan City, the exhibition will showcase the achievements in social, economic, and particularly tourism development in Arxan over the past decade since the 18th National Congress of the CPC.

7. The Ethnic Exchange, Communication, and Integration Sharing Session for Promoting Tourism: Organized by Xinhua Daily Telegraph, the Inner Mongolia Branch of Xinhua News Agency, the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Cultural and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, this session will share cases and successful experiences of tourism promoting ethnic interaction, communication, and integration, further harnessing the unique advantages of tourism in consolidating the sense of community for the Chinese nation.

8. The Rural Revitalization and Prosperity through Tourism Forum: Organized by Xinhua Daily Telegraph, the Inner Mongolia Branch of Xinhua News Agency, the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Cultural and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the forum will explore how rural tourism can contribute to comprehensive rural revitalization and contribute to achieving common prosperity.

9. The Tourism and Vacation Product Experience Activity: Organized by the Hinggan League Administrative Office, this activity will involve experiencing relevant themed tourism routes and activities in Arxan.

Additionally, the conference will also host the "Cultural Tourism Integration and Green Development Forum," the "Intangible Cultural Heritage + Tourism" Project Experience Exhibition, the "Arxan in the Past Decade" Exhibition, the Ethnic Exchange, Communication, and Integration Sharing Session for Promoting Tourism, the Rural Revitalization and Prosperity through Tourism Forum, and the Tourism and Vacation Product Experience Activity.

Wu Kefeng expressed the hope that the conference will guide all parties to deepen exchanges and discussions, promote cooperation and coordination, gather confidence and strength, and solidify the momentum of tourism industry recovery.
