On November 19th at a promotion conference, Denisov, Russian ambassador to China, said, “I believe friends from all over the world, including Russia, need to know the spirit of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 19th CPC Central Committee if they want to develop their friendship with China. They can’t understand China without knowing goals and pursuits of the CPC.”
On that day, the International Department of the CPC Central Committee held a conference to promote the spirit of the meeting through online and offline methods. Nearly 100 ambassadors to China in Beijing and more than 500 representatives form more than 160 parties and organizations in the world. Song Tao, director of the department, and relating experts and scholars gave a speech to introduce the significance, rich content and influence of the conference. Heads of parties from multiple countries and ambassadors to China said on the promotion conference that “seeing people as the priority” is an important reason why the CPC has made historical achievement as well as the experience that should be learned by the governing party.
Denisov said that the CPC has been sticking to the principle of “seeing people as the priority”, which deserves respect. He said that “I think seeing people as the priority is the reason why the CPC has made a series of amazing achievements, including alleviating people from extreme poverty and building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects.”
In the interview, Denisov also shared his idea about people’s democracy in the whole process in China. He said that democracy shouldn’t be something forced to a country, nor can it be learned from another country indiscriminately, but a country’s natural choice to meet the requirements of it’s own people. China has achieved huge economic development and improved people’s happiness, both of which are evidence suggesting that China’s democracy is suitable for it’s condition. “Some western countries want to be a ‘beacon of democracy’ by criticizing other countries and separate the world into different sections. This is a malignant action that will never succeed.”
Khamphao Ernthavanh, Laotian ambassador to China also mentioned the CPC’s determination to serve people. She said that the “The CPC Central Committee’s Resolution relating to Party’s Significant Achievement and Historical Experience in the Last 100 Years” showed that the CPC has been searching for truth in the practice, insisting to make decisions as according to people’s point of view and serving people.
She said, “In the 100-year history of the CPC, especially since the 18th CPC National Congress, China has undergone huge changes. China has enhanced it’s comprehensive strength in all aspects, improved people’s livelihood and expanded it’s international and regional influence. Now it’s an important strength to safeguard and support international and regional peace, stability, development and inter-connectivity.”
Mohamed El Badry, Egyptian ambassador to China, shared he view that the “people-centered idea” of the CPC is represented in the poverty alleviation and the fight against the pandemic. He said, “Poverty alleviation is the most important goal for the development of all human being and the covid-19 is the most serious challenge facing the world. It’s no doubt that China’s experience and people-centered principle will contribute significantly to the world. I’m looking forward that through the learning of the spirit of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 19th CPC Central Committee, I can have a better understanding of the key to the CPC’s success and bring it back to Egypt.”
Robinson Jean Louis, Madagascar’s ambassador to China, said that his ancestors were immigrants to Madagascar from Foshan in Guangdong of China, so he pays more attention to the development of his “hometown”. He saw local CPC cadres tried multiple ways to lift local rural residents out of poverty and to push forward rural construction. That’s when he immediately realized why China could make daily changes in every aspects.
He said, “The CPC leads Chinese to create development miracle one after another with resolute courage and patriotism. China’s experience is significant and worth learning. I also believe that the CPC will make more achievement in the new journey in the next 100 years.”
