On November 12^th, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a conference to learn the spirit of the 6^th Plenary Conference of the 19^th Central Committee and the spirit of video and telephone conference. Hu Heping, minister and secretary of the leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, held the conference and gave a speech. He stressed that we needed to grasp the conference spirit; to have a clear understanding of the party’s great achievement and historical experience of the last 100 years; to know the historical achievements and reforms of the socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era; to implement the decisions of the conference; to promote the socialism culture to be more prosperous and tourism to thrive; to contribute more to the construction of a socialist country with strong culture and to celebrate the successful opening of the 20^th CPC national conference with an excellent result. Those attending the conference and gave speeches were members of the leading party group, including, Li Qun, Zhang Xu, Wang Xudong, La Yifan, Lu Yingchuan, Du Jiang and Rao Quan.

    In the conference, it’s being said that we needed to have a clear understanding of the significance of the 6^th Plenary Conference of the 19^th Central Committee. The conference was held near the 100^th anniversary of the CPC and the connecting period of the “two centenary goals”. The topic for discussion was important with abundant achievement. The conference passed the “CPC Central Committee’s Resolution about the Party’s Major Achievement and Historical Experience in the Past 100 Years” which stick to Marxist historical materialism and a right conception of party history; highlighted the socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and summarized the major achievement and historical experience made by the CPC in the past 100 years, so it’s a guiding document of Marxist; a political announcement made by the CPC in a new era to bear the original aspiration and to develop socialism with Chinese characteristics and an action plan to realize the rejuvenation of Chinese nation by creating a future with the help of the past.

    The conference highlighted that party members should learn the content and the core of it. They also needed to learn the major achievement and the significance of the historical experience of the CPC in the past 100 years. The CPC’s 100-year-struggle fundamentally changed the future and the fate of Chinese people; found the right path to realize the rejuvenation of Chinese nation; presented the vitality of Marxism; influenced the world historical process and gave the CPC the ability to be in the leading position of the era. We needed to know the historical achievement and reform of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era; realize our original aspiration with a firmer and more initiative stand and step on the road of new journey and make achievement in a new era with high spirit. Party members needed to have a clear understanding of the core importance of Xi Jinping in the party and in the CPC Central Committee and to see Xi Jinping thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era as a guiding principle. It had decisive significance for the development of the CPC and China and the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation. We also needed to adhere “the two safeguarding” with action. We needed to meet the requirement of learning experience from the history and create a future. From the 100-year-struggle of the CPC, we could know why we had been successful and figure out how we could continue to be successful. We needed to push forward the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation by meeting goals with determination and by clearly knowing that the last leg of a journey marks the halfway point.

    In the conference, it’s required that the party members should complement the spirit of the 6^th Plenary Conference of the 19^th Central Committee, which should be seen as an important political task. This task should be combined with the learning and the compliment of Xi Jinping thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the spirit of Xi Jinping’s speech delivered on July 1^st, his speech regarding culture and tourism related work, education of party history and cultural and tourism work. Relating departments needed to enhance the leading ability, plan with care, compliment the responsibility and improve guidance, so as to make sure that there would be practical result.
