On October 19^th, the 7^th mobilization conference of China Tourism Association was held. It elected heads of the organization and member of it’s council. Du Jiang, vice minister and member of the leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Conference, and Li Ya, member of the standing committee of the provincial committee and secretary of provincial university working committee of Henan province, attended the conference.

    The conference elected a new council and a new board of supervisors. 66 council members were elected. Duan Qiang was elected as the chairman of China Tourism Association. Vice chairmen were Wang Yu, Wang Degang, Tang Wenjian, Su Zhigang, Du Yili, Chen Xianghong, Chen Miaolin, Zhao Jinjun, Bao Jigang, Yao Jun, Guo Lijuan, Kang Guoming and Fu Jianguo. Zhang Rungang was elected as a vice chairman and the secretary general. Lu Haiyan was elected as the chairman of the board of directors. Wu Guoping was elected as the vice chairman of the board of directors. Li Zhongchu and Xu Chengtao were elected as supervisors.

    Du Jiang said in his speech that it had been 35 years since the establishment of China Tourism Association. The organization had been contributing to the prosperity and the stabilization of China’s tourism market as well as the sustainable, rapid and healthy development of tourism. In recent years, the association had been study developing ways as a non-governmental organization with the spirit of reform and innovation. The association had been improving institutions, proventing risks and guaranteeing orderly operation, so the work of association had been improved, gaining the trust of the government, industry and enterprises as well as social recognition. Elected people would have more arduous tasks and more glorified mission. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism would continue to support China Tourism Association to be stronger; guide and support the association to play the role of an industrial organization; participate industrial management and make new contribution to recovery in all aspects and high-quality development of tourism.

    Li Ya said in his speech that the conference in Hebi city of Henan province was a rare learning platform and a presentation opportunity for cultural and tourism industry in Henan province. The province would make full use of the event to learn advanced theory and experience of attending enterprises and to conduct communication and cooperation with tourism enterprises. The local government welcomed all entrepreneurs to invest and do business in the province, so as to share developing opportunities of this place and to jointly create a future of high-quality development for tourism and cultural industry.

    The conference reviewed the “The Working Report of the 6^th Council of China Tourism Association” and “The Financial Report of the 6^th Council of China Tourism Association”. During the conference, China Tourism Association and Hebi Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
