On September 25th, the 16th China Yiwu Cultural and Tourism Products Trade Fair was held in Yiwu city of Zhangjiang province by the Ministry of culture and tourism, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government. Du Jiang, vice minister and member of leading party group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Chen Xiaoping, vice chairman of the CPPCC of Zhejiang province, attended the opening ceremony and took a tour around the exhibition hall.
The theme of the expo was “exchanging ideas of the 100 years, common prosperity, good life and beautiful China”. There’s eight exhibition halls, including main theme hall, beautiful China hall, the hall of poetic and picturesque Zhejiang, the hall of innovative design, the hall of tourism and leisure equipment, tourism goods hall, the experience hall of intangible cultural heritage, the hall of comic, animation and e-sport. The exhibition focused on cultural innovation products and the research and production of tourism products. The products displayed covered a wide range of classification, including innovative and designing service of culture and tourism, intellectual tourism service, cultural consumption products, products for leisure of tourism and holiday, products of intangible cultural products, tourism souvenir, products for board and lodging in hotels and so on. The expo was held with online and offline methods, so as to improve the interaction between exhibitors, purchasers and audience.
In the exhibition section called “spirit inherited through red tourism” were achievements of red tourism and red cultural innovative products as well as red routes to present “the unforgettable original aspiration from the revolution” by picture and text exhibition, objects exhibition, introduction from docents, innovative interaction and immersive experience and other forms. Apart from that, there’s other events as well, including a demonstration named “a hundred docents introducing a hundred-years party history”, “new youth in a new era and China dream in China red” which was an introduction of red tourism in campus, the 11th national innovation and design competition of red tourism in university, national red tourism innovation products and a representation of performance related to red tourism. In the exhibition section of “happy life and beautiful China”, visitors could have an early experience of the atmosphere of the Winter Olympic Games and have a try at winter e-sport, curling, VR skiing and other equipment. In addition, there was an introduction and promotion of ice cream related to cultural innovation, innovative mystery box, cultural innovation products related to intangible cultural heritage, “Buddha's warrior attendant in Longmen Grottoes” which was a performance make by Henan channel as well as other outstanding cultural and tourism products. Many inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage gave live performances of making wickerwork, wood sculpture and paper.
The expo lasted till September 27th, during which there were the 13th China Tourism Commodities Competition, Fantastic City Forum, “I love Xinjiang·a future of common prosperity” a tourism promotion made by Zhejiang to support Xinjiang, “poetic Zhejiang” golden cultural and tourism consumption season, innovative products introduced in Yiwu in 2021, the representation of the design and innovative competition of city cultural and tourism products, “thousands of dishes in hundreds of counties·food in Yiwu” and other events.
