The summary conference of the celebration to mark the 100^th anniversary of the Communist Party of China was held in the morning of the July 13^th. Xi Jinping, president, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, met representatives responsible for the preparation in the Great Hall of the People. He said thanks, recognized their hard work and outstanding achievement and encouraged them to have better results in the future.

    Participating in the meeting were Li Keqiang, Wang Yang, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng, all of whom were members of the standing committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. Wang Huning, member of the standing committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech on the summery conference.

    In the morning of the July 13^th, the Great Hall of the People was in animated atmosphere. At 11 o’clock, Xi Jinping arrived and was greeted with applause. He walked to the representatives to talk to them and took a picture with all of them.

    Recently, Xi Jinping hosted a conference in the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee to listen to the summary report and to deliver speeches. He stressed that the celebration to mark the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the CPC was an important arrangement made by the CPC Central Committee in terms of the strategy and general condition, so it was a significant event in the CPC and country’s political life. People from relating aspects had made concerted effort under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee. The large-scale celebration was solemn and magnificent, presenting senses of ceremony, participation and modern era; China’s style and appearance as well as the effects of unifying thoughts, concentrating strength, lifting spirit and inspiring morale, proving that the expected effect was achieved.

    Xi Jinping said that the celebration involved multiple institutes and a great number of stuff members. It required complex coordination and a long time. The leading group as well as relating institutes and departments in all aspects and regions stuck to decisions and arrangement of the CPC Central Committee to plan with high standards, coordinate in a high position and implement with high ability. They had done extraordinary work to make the celebration a great event for the CPC and a festival for people.

    Xi Jinping said that the main task of the celebration was already done successfully, but a lot of work awaited to deepen and to expand the achievement. We needed to make full use of enthusiasm and positive energy inspired by the celebration to build a socialist modern country in all aspects and to realize the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation. We needed to summarize the success and failure in the 100-years party history so as to gain initiative and be aware of the history amid the learning and the using of history. We needed to build a stronger party according to the history and the general arrangement and guaranteed that the CPC was always the leading core of the socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. We needed to tell the story of the CPC well to the world and to improve the international influence of the CPC and the country. We needed to summarize the successful experience of the celebration and enrich the socialist ceremonial institution of the CPC and China with Chinese characteristics.

    Xi Jinping said that the government needed to do the work following the celebration; to deepen and expand the celebration results and to accelerate all work so as to be sure that there would be a good start for the “14^th five year” plan and the second centenary goal.

    The speech delivered by Xi Jinping in the conference of the standing committee of the political bureau of the CPC Central Committee was also being introduced.

    Wang Huning said in the conference that the speeches given by the general secretary Xi Jinping was an interpretation of the significance of the celebration for the 100^th anniversary of the founding of CPC; an recognition of the preparation of celebration and a clear requirement of the result of celebration, so we need to learn and implement them. The successful celebration was the result of the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as it’s core; of the support of departments in different regions, all social sectors and the masses as well as of the common effort of all institutes and participating personnel, so we must summarize experience as well as expand and deepen achievements. We needed to deepen the learning, promotion and implementation of the speech given by Xi Jinping on July 1^st; promote the study and education of the party history; do a good work in the party history exhibition; promote the celebration well and guide party members, cadres and the masses to transform the enthusiasm inspired by the celebration to responsible behavior and practical work.

    The deputy team leaders of the celebration guidance team participated in the conference, including Ding Xuexiang, Yang Jiechi, Zhang Youxia, Chen Xi, Huang Kunming, Cai Qi, Xiao Jie and Zhao Kezhi. Attendees included members of the leading team, people responsible for all institutes in all aspects as well as representatives of Military Band of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, guard of honour, flight echelon, communist youth league members, young pioneers, choirs, performers, security members, volunteers, service supportive personnel and media reporters.
