On July 15^th, the 2^nd Qingdao Multinationals Summit was held by the Ministry of Commerce and Shandong Province People’s Government. More than 10 thousand guests got together online and offline to meet friends and plan for future development, so as to start a new chapter of win-win cooperation and create a promising future for China and multinational companies.

    “Multinational companies and China”, the theme of the 1^st summit, was used for the 2^nd summit. The two-day summit aimed to become a high-level platform to promote communication between multinational companies as well as political and academic circles; to reach consensus to build an open world economy jointly and to improve the level of win-win cooperation between multinational companies in a new development stage.

    Attending the opening ceremony were people in charge of relating departments in Shandong province, representatives of relating ministries, experts, scholars, international organizations, chamber of commerce, business association, 15 envoys to China, heads of 517 leading enterprises in their industries and 390 enterprises of the top 500 in the world.

    During the summit, a series of events were held, including theme salon, private session, branch forum, roadshow of international enterprises, city roadshow, communication event, meeting event and the event of the organizing committee. There were many branch forums centering around the key topics, including the protection and cooperation of multinational enterprises’ intellectual property, century-long enterprises, coordinated high-quality development of Huanghe basin, multinational company and new development structure and the transformation to green economy with the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutral.

    To have stronger influence, the 2021 New Growth Drivers Fair·Qingdao was held at the same place and of the same time, so as to promote the reform and opening up of larger area, wider range and deeper level.
