On January 28^th, Hu Heping, cultural and tourism minister, met Felix Plasencia, Venezuela’s ambassador to China. They exchanged ideas on how to deepen cultural and tourism corporation.

    Hu Heping said that China and Venezuela are strategic partners and people in our countries connect deeply. In the April of 2020, president Xi Jinping and president Maduro reached important consensus and pointed a direction for the bilateral relationship through a phone call. In recent years, cultural and tourism corporation between China and Venezuela has been developing smoothly, deepening traditional and mutual trust. In the the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Chinese government made a systematic plan and a strategic deployment of the economic and social development of the “14^th Five Year Plan”. China-Venezuela cooperation will enjoy promising prospect because it stipulates that Chinese government should improve the level of opening-up to the outside world and start a new chapter of win-win cooperation as well as enhance cultural exchanges with other countries and carry out inter-civilization dialogue of multiple levels. China is willing to work with Venezuela hand in hand to push forward practical cooperation in cultural and tourism fields to offer more relating high-quality products. Economic development and people-to-people connection will be benefited.

    Plasencia said that in recent years, China and Venezuela have been carrying out cooperation in every field, among which cultural and tourism cooperation are important to promote the development of bilateral relationship. Venezuela has been attaching importance to cultural and tourism cooperation with China, so the country is willing to deepen practical cooperation with China and improve China-Venezuela comprehensive strategic partnership to the next level.
