On March 25th, the sixth session of the people-to-people and cultural cooperation between China and Uzbekistan is held as a video conference. It’s co-hosted by Zhang Xu, China’s vice minister of culture and tourism, and Uzbekistan’s vice cultural minister.
Zhang Xu says that China and Uzbekistan are friendly neighbourhood and comprehensive strategic partners. Since the outbreak of the Covid-19, two countries have been firmly supporting each other and conducting close cooperation. In cultural field, relating departments have carried out practical cooperation widely with the help of the sub-commission’s platform of cultural and people-to-people cooperation. China is willing to work hand in hand with Uzbekistan to launch more close cultural and people-to-people cooperation so as to consolidate our friendship, to push forward our friendship and to seek new achievement. Uzbekistan’s vice cultural minister says that there has been abundant cooperation achievements in cultural and people-to-people communication cooperation which are conducive to our people’s traditional friendship and mutual understanding. Uzbekistan is willing to explore cooperation potential, to enrich connotation of cooperation and to develop our cooperation. Both countries exchange ideas about the work of next step and report their communication and cooperation since the 5th session of China-Uzbekistan People-to-people and Cultural Cooperation Sub-commission held in the August of 2019, including those of art, literature, tourism, education, broadcasting, TV, movie, cultural relics protection, sports, sanitation, publication, archive, social science, youth policy, women's cause, non-governmental organization and other fields.
