On May 20th, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Holds an Education Promotion Conference to further implement CPC Central Committee’s demands on party history education; summarize work of last phase and plan for the tasks of next phase. Hu Heping, minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and secretary of it’s leading party group, attend the conference and deliver a speech. Other attendees are members of leading party group, including Li Qun, Wang Xudong, La Yifan and Rao Quan.
Hu Heping says that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism should see party history education as an important political task which must be seen as a priority and requires careful plan. We should study and implement the spirit of important speeches delivered by general secretary Xi Jinping in party history study education mobilization conference; carry out CPC Central Committee’s plans and demands, enhance organizing and leading capacity, push party history education to influence deeper level, enhance the influence of study, research and discussion to enable people to have thorough understanding of party history education, add art to education to tell stories of party education with the help of art creation, develop red tourism relying on revolutionary cultural relics, increase the supply of education resource, spend effort to learn party history and promote the practice of “Doing Real Work for People”. Through various study training and practical activities, the party history education of ministries and subordinate departments have started and had effect.
Hu Heping stresses that in the next stage, we need to continue to learn a century's history of struggle and Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era; to meet the demands to learn party history, understand thoughts, do real work and create a new situation; to meet the demands to enable party history education to influence deeper level in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; to meet CPC Central Committee's demands of party history education; to adhere to guidelines of focusing on principles, cast the soul, consolidate the foundation, dealing with concrete issues and innovation; to follow Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era; to implement the spirit of important speeches delivered by the general secretary in the whole process of the party history education; to hold every activity well in the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC; to further enhance senses of mission and responsibility; to accomplish art performance task with high quality and high standards with correct political direction; to organize study and discussion on special projects; to read key books repeatedly; to organize party classes taught by party cadres, secretaries of grassroots party organization and advanced models; to do good work in organizing mass promotion and education activities of “Following the Lead of the CPC Forever” and of the “History of Party, New China, Reform and Opening up and the Development of Socialism”; to organize itinerant exhibition and performance; to launch mass cultural activities; to carry out education in grassroots level and let it be accepted by people; to carry out the activity named “Doing Real Work for People”; to establish a series of policies and measures to solve problems with work and reality taken into consideration; to establish concrete measures to benefit people; to enable practical activities to have real effect; to maintain good momentum and work; to continuously strengthen arrangement, organization and guidance and to be sure that the party history education in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is interesting and effective.
In the conference, people in charge of 9 institutes organized by departments of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, subordinate institutes and social organizations report their process on education of party history. Attendees are people in charge of departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, people in charge of Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group in the ministry, people in charge of party and government affairs of subordinate institutes, political instructors for party construction responsible for social organization in the ministry as well as heads of guiding group and members of party history education leading group office in the ministry.
