On May 1^st, the day of International Workers' Day. Xi Jinping, President of China, Chairman of the Central Military Commission, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, sends his congratulations to China’s working people.

    Xi Jinping points out that this year is the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 1^st year to build a modernized country with comprehensive socialist construction. All working people in China contribute a lot to the cause of China and CPC, despite negative influences like COVID-19.

    Xi Jinping stresses that labour creates happiness and achievements. He expects working people to carry forward spirit of model worker, work spirit and craftsmanship spirit; to give full play to the main force of people by working hard and being creative; to be confident in building a socialist modern country and to finish the great cause of the rejuvenation of Chinese nation. Party committees and governments of every level should mobilize people’s enthusiasm, initiative and creativity; guarantee their legitimate rights and interests as well as support and inspire them to achieve more in a new era.
