On November 17th, the “China-Beyond Your Imagination” tourism promotion, which was jointly hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Chinese Embassy to Zimbabwe and Zimbabwean Ministry of Environment, Tourism and Reception, took place in Victoria Falls , Zimbabwe. More than 100 representatives from Zimbabwean government and tourism industry were present.
Li Qun, Chinese vice minister of Culture and Tourism, said in his speech that China attaches great importance to tourism exchanges and cooperation with African countries. It is hoped to take the promotion as an opportunity to deepen tourism cooperation, share development experience, promote mutual visits, support tourism exchanges, boost industrial cooperation and give full play to the role of tourism cooperation in cultural and people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation so as to inject mew impetus to comprehensive strategic partnership.
Duramine, mayor of Victoria Falls, welcomed the visit of Chinese cultural delegation in his remarks. Meanwhile, he believed that this promotion will represent a new chapter for tourism cooperation between China and Zimbabwe that will attract more Zimbabwean tourists to China.
The promotion shows rich Chinese tourism resources of nature, culture and cuisine, as well as China’s achievements in infrastructural construction and mobile payment. Moreover, the artists from China Oriental Performing Arts Group Co. LTD also performed songs and dances to present unique traditional Chinese culture.
