A forum on cultural exchange between China and Turkish takes place in Istanbul

On October 18th, a forum on cultural exchange between China and Turkish themed around “Eurasian Continent Focus-Intercultural Understanding and Communications between China and Turkey to Foster Common Aims and Mutual Benefits” took place in Istanbul, the largest city of Turkey. 
The forum was jointly held by Chinese Embassy to Turkey, Consulate General in Istanbul, China International Publishing Group and Turkuvaz Media Group. Mehmet Ersoy, Turkish minister of Culture and Tourism, expressed during the forum that a steady increase of Chinese tourists visiting Turkey will help enhance mutual understanding between two peoples. The two countries have been developing strategic cooperation under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative, especially in energy, economy, culture and transportation. 
Du Zhanyuan, head of China International Publishing Group, said that the China International Publishing Group is willing to remain committed to enhancing mutual understanding and exchanges between two countries, and expand its capacity for engaging in international communication so as to present a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of China in the new era and help China embrace the world and be understood by the world. 
Cui Wei, consul general to Istanbul, said that recent years have witnessed an increase in platform for cultural exchange between China and Turkey, serving as an important booster for strategic partnership of two countries.
