On October 17th, Zhang Xu, vice minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Yo. Otgonbayar, vice minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports of Mongolia, in Beijing. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on further enhancing communications and cooperation in culture and tourism.
Zhang Xu said this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia. On October 16th, President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with President Khaltmaa Battulga of Mongolia on the the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. As cultural cooperation serves as an important part of China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership, the ministry of Culture and tourism is willing to join hands with the ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports of Mongolia to hold celebrations for the establishment of diplomatic relations and further promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between two sides. .
Otgonbayar said that Mongolia is willing to work jointly with China to deepen practical cooperation, further elevate the scale of mutual visits and enhance cultural exchanges, thus creating a new chapter of practical cooperation in culture and tourism. Meanwhile, they will carry out the research of holding the Mongolian cultural week in China.
