On October 8th, Luo Shugang, minister of Culture and Tourism, met with Yuthasak, head of the National Administration of Thailand, as well as his delegation. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on deepening exchanges and cooperation in culture and tourism.
Minister Luo welcomed their visit to China and spoke highly of China-Thailand exchanges and cooperat6ion in culture and tourism. Moreover, he praised the important role of the National Tourism Administration of Thailand in deepening cultural and tourism relations of two countries. Luo said that the high-level interactions are increasingly frequent as China and Thailand has entered new era. The two sides have seen solid foundation and broad platform for cultural and tourism exchanges. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is willing to enhance communications with the National Tourism Administration of Thailand, conduct in-depth cooperation and promote people-to-people connectivity, thus boosting China-Thailand friendship. He also stressed that both sides should enhance the integrated development of culture and tourism and promote two-way tourism based on current programs and platform. Meanwhile, it is hoped that Thailand could further improve the security of water programs and supervision over land transportation, and strengthen the construction of emergency aid. Yuthasak, who agreed upon China’s suggestion, expressed that Thailand is willing to deepen cooperation on tourism supervision so as to safeguard the tourism market order of the two countries.
