Diplomatic Envoys to China Visit a Grand Exhibition of Achievements

On September 25th, 2019, a group of diplomats to China from more than 130 countries and representatives of international organizations visited an exhibition of achievements in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China at the Beijing Exhibition Center in Beijing.
The envoys expressed congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Meanwhile, they listened to the introduction with great interest and stopped in front of various booths, boards,entities and models to to experience and exchange views with one another. “Unbelievable”, “Amazing!” “Unimaginable”... Words of admiration filled with the exhibition center. They said, the exhibition is comprehensive and rich in content, like a long scroll of history, which vividly shows the extraordinary course and changes of the PRC in the past 70 years. China has made great achievements in its development in just a few decades. It has never been an easy task nor come about by chance. China's successful experience is worth learning from all countries in the world. China is also an important force in maintaining world peace and promoting human progress. The international community highly recognizes President Xi Jinping's initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind and is ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China.
Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov recalled his working experience in China in the 1970s. He said, China's development in the past 70 years is extremely rare in human history, and it is not too much to describe in any word. China will soon achieve its first centenary goal in 2021 and is not far away from achieving its second centenary goal. As Russia and China are about to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship, Russia is ready to constantly deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields and jointly elevate bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era to new highs.
Pakistani Ambassador to China Naghmana Hashmi said, China's "scorecard" in poverty alleviation in just a few decades is remarkable. China is Pakistan's best friend. Pakistan admires China's great achievements and is heartened to see the Chinese people make such achievements. Pakistan is a staunch supporter and participant of the Belt and Road Initiative and is ready to join hands with China to push bilateral cooperation for more fruitful results.
Japanese Ambassador to China Yutaka Yokoi said, many of the old photos in the exhibition remind me of my life and work in China in the 1980s, and I feel they are so close to me upon seeing them. Each photo is a microcosm of 70 years of changes in the PRC. He said, I am impressed by the Chinese people's consistent spirit of hard work, pioneering and innovation, and is willing to play an active role as a bridge to promote friendly exchanges between the two peoples.
Clemens von Goetze, German Ambassador to China, noted that China has made great achievements in economy, science and technology and its people’s living standards have significantly improved as well. What impressed him most was that China has all along remained committed to the pursuit of sustainable development. China has also invested more in environment protection with close coordination and cooperation in climate change. Germany is willing to joint hands with China to safeguard multilateralism and free trade system.
Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to China Ali Obaid Ali Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri said, every photo in the exhibition speaks volumes. From the difficulties in the early days of the founding of the PRC to the global leadership in science, technology, industry and many other fields, China's rapid development cannot be separated from the firm belief and measures of reform and opening up.
Zimbabwean Ambassador to China Martin Chedondo said, China has always stood together with other developing countries, shared development opportunities with them, and moved forward hand in hand. President Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative and China's constructive role in climate change both reflect the Chinese government's commitment to people-centered thinking and China's responsibility to promote common development of the world.
The diplomatic envoys nodded and praised frequently in front of the slogan wall--When the people have ideals, their nation will have a bright future, and their country will have strength. They wished and believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China and the Chinese people will have a brighter and better future.
