The “Beautiful China” campaign is held in Mongolia

Recently, the “Beautiful China” tourism campaign, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, and Chinese Embassy to Mongolia, was launched in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia. Attendees included Xing Haiming, Chinese ambassador to Mongolia, Li Wei, cultural counselor and director of China Culture Center in Mongolia, Zhang Xilong, deputy general director of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, Batbayar, vice minister of Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Yo. Otgonbayar, vice minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports of Mongolia, Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan, mayor of Ulan Bator, as well as Gantumur, head of Mongolian Touri9sm Association.

As this year marks the 70th anniversary of China-Mongolia diplomatic ties, it is of great significance to hold such event. On the one hand, the event aims to strengthen civil exchanges and friendly cooperation of both sides through culture and tourism. On the other hand, it will help China in  boosting inbound visits to offer the Mongolian people China’s colourful and diverse resources.
The promotional event consists of “Beautiful China” Promotion and Business Fair as well as “The Celebration of 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Mongolia-Chinese Night of Culture and Tourism”. While the “Beautiful China” Promotion event provides a professional platform for exchanges and cooperation. During the event, “Maritime Silk Road” products were introduced through tourism bag, PPT, tourism clips and routes so that the Mongolian counterparts could have a better understanding of China’s products. In Business Fair, China’s local departments of Culture and Tourism in Henan, Hunan and Shandong, tourism enterprises from representatives of Culture Cities of East Asia, such as Changsha and Harbin, and various travel agencies including China CYTS Tours Holding Co, and China Travel Service had comprehensive talks with their counterparts and achieved productive results. 
More than 1,500 people attended the event, including government officials and tourism business representatives from the two countries. During the event, a great Chinese nation with diverse tourism resources and unique cultural features has been introduced through tourism clips, cultural performances, presentation of intangible heritages and interactive activities. This will enhance the popularity of “Beautiful China” in Mongolia and boost inbound tourism market. Moreover, the performance of The Soul of Shaolin Kungfu offered Mongolian audience a wonderful feast of culture and arts, highlighting the theme of “Beautiful China”.  
In recent years, China and Mongolia have seen favorable results in tourism source market. Chinese tourists paid 27,200 visits to Mongolia over the first three months of 2019, while Mongolia was the seventh biggest source of inbound tourists to China. With the increasingly frequent communications between China and Mongolia in various fields, more cultural and tourism promotions will be held to further promote mutual learning and fusion of cultures and boost tourism course.
