On June 28th, a group of diplomatic envoys made a inspection tour to the Fengfeng Mining District, and attended the conference on Fengfeng Mining District introduction and the promotion of major industries, accompanied by Wu Jinliang, a standing member of the CPC municipal committee and executive vice-mayor of the Fengfeng District, and Liu Hongying, secretary general of Fengfeng government. Bandito Dos Santos Freitas, head of diplomatic group and Timor-Leste ambassador to China, made remarks during the promotion and Secretary Niu Ying, of the Fengfeng CPC Committee reviewed the economic transformation and upgrading of Fengfeng. Chen Zhenli, head of the Fengfeng government, presided over the promotion. Liu Wei, Zhang Guoqun and Huang Changfu attended the relevant events.
The diplomatic group visited the New Northern District Planning Exhibition Hall, Xiangtangshan Forest Park, Xiangtangshan Grottoes Museum, Cizhou Kiln Museum of Art, Zhangjialou (jia means family and lou means tower) Commune of Art, Xiangtangshan resort and Fengfeng 5D Valley Attraction. Through this trip, the envoys were well-informed about its city construction, industrial development, ecological environment as well as history and culture.
During the visit, many envoys, who showed great interest to Fengfeng, were impressed by the remarkable changes of old mining area, rise of emerging industries and electronic information industry, unremitting efforts in ecological restoration, splendid Xiangtangshan grottoes culture and Cizhou Kiln culture. Though with different languages, they were frequently asking questions through interpreters and photographing to record the wonderful and meaningful tour.
Niu Ying warmly welcomed diplomat’s visit during the promotion. She said that the whole district has unveiled the transformation and upgrading of old mining district over the past few years under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization. With the shift in thought, Fengfeng clearly rolled out “1231” development strategy (taking the transformation and upgrading of old mining district as a major task; energizing provincial economic development zone and new northern district; boosting three clusters of emerging service sector, new material and equipment manufacture; building an all-for-one ecological tourism destination entitled “a blessing land along Fu river and porcelain-themed Xiangtang”) Meanwhile, it makes clear the goal and spirit of transformation, fully practices people-oriented urbanization and takes three steps centering around old town, new district and rural areas so as to continuously increase people’s sense of happiness, fulfillment and safety. When facing great deficit in ecological environment, the government took “all-for-one restoration and removal of illegal buildings” as a major task of transformation and upgrading. Besides, it will step up great efforts to improve ecological environment with the courage of cutting its own wrist. By virtue of the transformation and upgrading, it will weather through difficulties and obstacles according to the requirement of firm action, active adjustment and rapid transformation. It will also attach much importance to correct official’s style in conduct and firmly uphold “four conscientiousness”(uphold political integrity, keep in mind the bigger picture, follow the CPC as the core of the Chinese leadership and act consistently with CPC Central Committee policy) to build a beautiful Fengfeng. Five hundred and thirty thousand people in Fengfeng sincerely welcome their visit to witness the rebirth of old mining district and pursue a bright future of Fengfeng.
Chen Zhenli said the development of Fengfeng is closely related to the contribution of numerous workers and practitioners, as well as the great support from foreign guests. He hoped that more people could get a closer look about Fengfen, believing that Fengfeng will see its transformation and changes in old mining area so as to write a significant chapter in the course of city’s development.

He said he has deeply felt the glorious and splendid history as well as time-honored cultural deposits of Fengfeng, and experienced diverse natural landscapes of Fengfeng.
