In September, the golden autumn brings a cool Beijing. On steps outside the north door of Great Hall of the People, honor guards are standing along the two sides. As the trumpeters blew the welcoming horn, the new ambassadors arrived one after another to go upstairs into Beijing Hall. They presented credentials to Xi Jinping in front of the picture of Bird-Eye View of Beijing and Xi also shook hands and took photos with each of them. The new ambassadors in China are John Andruga Duku from South Sudan, Isabel Domingos from Sao Tome and Principe, Briunny Garabito from the Dominican Republic, Manasa R. Tagicakibau from Fiji, Luis Schmidt from Chile, Clemens von Goetze from Germany, Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina from Sierra Leone, and Nicolas Chapuis from the European Union (EU).
Xi Jinping welcomed them to assume new positions in china and conveyed his sincere greetings and good wishes to their peoples and leaders of countries and institutions. Xi praised the good relations between China and the world. He stressed that China attaches much importance to boost ties with other countries, and is willing to further enhance political mutual trust, deepen the practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges and strengthen the coordinated cooperation in international affairs. Ambassadors are hoped to play the role as a bridge to contribute to boosting ties between China and other countries, and to promote mutually beneficial cooperation.

They congratulated on China’s successfully hosting the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and highly praised the Xi’s keynote speech at the opening ceremony and new measures to promote China-Africa cooperation.
