On December 18th, President Xi Jinping received credentials of 7 ambassadors to China in Great Hall of the People.
Winter’s sunshine is pleasantly warm in Beijing. On steps outside the north door of Great Hall of the People, honor guards are standing along the two sides. As the trumpeters blew the welcoming horn, the new ambassadors arrived one after another to go upstairs into Beijing Hall. They presented credentials to Xi Jinping in front of the picture of Bird-Eye View of Beijing and Xi also shook hands and took photos with each of them. The new ambassadors to China are Dezcallar from Spain, Awale Ali Kullane from Somalia, Patty Chen from Suriname, Archil Kalandia from Georgia, Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita from Brazil, Eric Razafimandimby from Madagascar and Mohammad Keshavarz Zadeh from Iran.
Xi Jinping welcomed them to assume new positions in China and conveyed his sincere greetings and good wishes to their peoples and leaders of countries and institutions. “This year is the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up and we will unswervingly advance reform and opening-up.” Xi said, while Chins is willingly to strengthen friendly cooperation with countries in the world and promote bilateral relations to a new stage, contributing to world peace and human development. Envoys will be fully supported by Chinese government to assume their mission, and are expected to commit efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance ties between relevant countries.
Envoys extended sincere regards from their countries and leaders to president Xi Jinping. They also congratulated on successful conference celebrating the 40th anniversary of county’s reform and opening-up in the morning, and spoke highly of Xi’s important remarks in the conference. China’s pursuit of reform and opening-up will bring the world more opportunities. Therefore, all countries will actively get involved in this progress and advance international cooperation of Belt and Road Initiative. Meanwhile, great efforts will be made during their mission to strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and their countries.
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi also attended the conference.
