Hu Heping, the provincial Party secretary of Shaanxi province, met with diplomatic group to China who came to Shaanxi to attend the activity named as “City Tour into Shaanxi for Diplomats to China ” .
Hu Heping warmly welcomed their visit. “Shaanxi is a significant cradle of Chinese nation and civilization, as well as the place where the CPC grew strong and toward the maturity. It boasts of a long history and culture, and strong strength in science and education, favorable location, colorful resources and complete industrial system. Since the reform and opening-up, especially after the implementation of Belt and Road Initiative, Shaanxi has become a important window to the outside world as its opening-up is advanced and the construction of open economy is accelerated. Currently, with the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up as starting point, we insist on deepening reform to reinforce momentum and expanding openness to increase vigor. Meanwhile, we are expected to see great prospect of Belt and Road Initiative is imbued with reform and opening-up, and step up great efforts to develop hub economy, pivotal economy and mobile economy so that new ground will be made in opening China further through links running eastward and westward, across land and over sea. I hope all the diplomats could learn more about Shaanxi, promote exchanges between Shaanxi and countries in the world, and conduct comprehensive cooperation in economy, trade, culture, agriculture and tourism to achieve shared development and win-win cooperation.” said Hu.
On behalf of diplomatic group to China, Daniel Owassa, Congo’s ambassador to China, said that Shaanxi featuring ancient culture, beautiful cities and flourishing vitality left a deep impression on us. We are willing to take this opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Shaanxi, increase consensus and break new ground in cooperation, thus obtaining friendly outcomes.
Chen Guoqiang, vice governor of Shaanxi province, also attended the meeting.
During four-day tour, the envoys not only visited the New Airport City, Shaanxi Fast Auto Drive Group Company and Xi’an International Trade and Logistics Park, but also attended activities including “Three Economies” Promotion and “Reunion of World’s Chinatown in Chang’an” , thus being fully aware of Shaanxi’s development.
