On March 11th, the Seventh China-Russia Forum was held in Moscow. It is said that Chinese tourists to Russia through group visa-free entry policy firstly hit over one million in 2018.

This forum aims to promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Russia, and further reinforces bilateral tourism and business cooperation. “In recent years, a growing number of Chinese tourists are taking Russia as their destination in the winter,” said Igor Kuzmin, president of the committee of the Tourism Association of World Without Borders. “In 2018, there were more than three million tourists traveling between China and Russia, of which Chinese tourists’ destinations included not only Moscow, St. Petersburg and Lake Baikal, but also the North of Russia.” he added.
Anna, deputy executive manager of the Tourism Association of World Without Borders, said the China-Russia Tourism Forum has become one of major platforms for tourism exchanges between two sides. Nearly one hundred experts and eight hundred representatives from both sides were present in this year.
“Both sides should attach much importance to designing new tourism products in sports, health care, culture and education, thus attracting more young tourists to conduct mutual visits.” said Wang Ruosong, an account executive of Greenwood Tourism Exhibition Company.
The China-Russia Tourism Forum, which can be dated back to 2012, has grown to be an important platform for tourism industry and experts to discuss tourism cooperation and deliver opinions.
